Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Gurukul Vidyapeethmobile app and its companion web dashboard (together, the “Service”). By signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided to you by Gurukul Vidyapeeth, Hajipur (“the School”), which licenses the Blue Lotus platform from Prejee Innovations. Your relationship over school matters — fees, records, discipline, academics — is with the School. Prejee Innovationsoperates the software on the School’s behalf.

• Accounts are issued, not created. There is no public sign-up. The School creates your account and assigns your role — staff, student, or parent or guardian.
• Your credentials are yours alone. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account. Tell the School immediately if you think someone else has access to it.
• Minors.Where a student is under 18, the account is used under the supervision of the parent or guardian the School has linked to it, who accepts these terms on the student’s behalf.
• Accuracy. Keep your contact details current, since they are how the School reaches you.

You agree not to:

• Use another person's account, or let anyone use yours.
• Mark attendance for someone else, or attempt to falsify a check-in, its location, or its photo.
• Access, copy, or share records belonging to another student, parent, or member of staff.
• Upload anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, obscene, or infringing, or anything containing malware.
• Post content that bullies, threatens, or targets any member of the school community.
• Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass the Service's security or access controls.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
• Use the Service for any purpose other than the school activity it is provided for.

You keep ownership of what you upload — homework, documents, messages, photos. You grant the School, and Prejee Innovations as its processor, the permission needed to store, display and transmit that content in order to run the Service. You are responsible for having the right to upload whatever you upload.

Content that breaches section 3 may be removed, and the account responsible suspended, without notice.

Attendance, marks, fees, remarks and every other record in the Service are entered and controlled by the School. The Service displays them; it does not decide them. Questions about, or corrections to, any record must go to the School — the app is not a route to appeal an academic or disciplinary decision.

Where the School enables online fee payment, payments are processed by Razorpay under its own terms. We do not store card or bank details.

• Fee amounts, due dates, late charges, discounts and refund policy are set entirely by the School.
• A payment is confirmed only once the gateway reports success; keep the receipt the app issues.
• Refund requests go to the School, not to the payment gateway and not to us.
• If money leaves your account but the app does not show the payment, contact the School with the gateway reference — reconciliation is normally automatic within a few working days.

We aim to keep the Service running continuously, but it may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures in networks, devices or third-party providers. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the School may enable or disable modules for its users at any time.

Location-based check-in depends on your device’s GPS and on Android granting the permissions it needs. Push notifications depend on Google’s delivery network. Neither is guaranteed to be instant or infallible, and neither should be relied on as the sole record of a time-critical event.

The School may suspend or close your account at any time — for example when a student leaves or a member of staff’s employment ends, or following a breach of these terms. We may suspend access where required to protect the Service or comply with the law. On termination your right to use the Service stops immediately; retention and deletion of records then follow the Privacy Policy.

The Blue Lotus software, its design and its underlying code are owned by Prejee Innovationsand licensed, not sold, to the School. The School’s name, crest and branding remain the School’s. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of either to you.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the School nor Prejee Innovations is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profit, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the School’s location have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and material changes will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
